"Any form of dance is an expression of life, it keeps you fit from head to toe and provides flexibility .It is also helpful in curing ailments like back aches and joint pain" says actor and dancer Hussain. "Dance specially belly dancing helps in toning your whole body, rigorous pelvic movements. This type of dance is known for circumvention of osteoporosis and for its benefits to the spine. I have been dancing since the age of 3 and I have never put on weight." explains belly dancer Jasbeen.

However, a few things to keep in mind while starting a vigorous dance routine is to warm up and cool down the muscles, before and after the exercise. "You should do warm up exercises and do a lot of stretches so that you don’t get tired and exhausted." sums up Saini. It is best to take it easy in the initial stages and not dance to the point where you’re panting and puffing. Dance is said to be a celebration "a celebration of your body"… So just get out there and dance.
