It’s one of the most eagerly awaited television dance shows of recent times. Nach Baliye Season 6 that premiered on November 9, 2013, has won the hearts of countless dancing fans across the country. Eleven celebrity couples compete in the show, dancing for their lives and a place in the competition. Every week one couple is eliminated. This season has some well-known couples shaking a leg for the Nach Baliye top prize. They include Bruna Abdullah and Omar Farooque, Shikha Raju and Raju Srivastava, Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, and Kanika Maheshwari and Ankur Ghai.
I especially love the way Bruna carries herself on the dance floor. Her immaculate performances and glamorous face sets the stage on fire for sure. But, if I were to pick one look that’s perfect from every angle, Debina would win hands down. Her expressive smoky eyes look sizzling paired with glossy red lips. It’s a daring, even over-the-top look that plays up eyes and lips but on Debina it looks classy and sexy. She carries the smoky eye-red lips with ease and perfection. Get Debina's eyes
Step 1: Begin with clean moisturized skin. Apply a nice correcting concealer like Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer to cover dark under-eye shadows and blemishes. Next take a black as black kohl pencil like L'Oreal Paris Kajal Magique and apply it on the upper lash line. It’s alright if you can’t get a perfect sweeping line because you will be smudging it later.
Step 2: With the help of small brush, smudge the kohl that you applied in step 1. You may want to add some more kohl and smudge it based on how intense you want your eyes to look. Nykaa recommends Colorbar Smokin` Eyes Smudger Brush to get the perfect smudgy look.
Step 3: Now apply a pastel pink eye shadow in the inner half of the eyelid. It’s fine to apply over the smudges lines. I like L’Oreal Paris Infallible Monos Eyeshadow (Shade 004 Forever Pink)
Step 4: Dab some pastel/shimmery white eye shadow in the inner tear duct area to pop open up your eyes. Lighter eye shadows make you look more awake. Optionally you could apply it under the eyebrow arch to accentuate the arch of your eyebrow. Try Bourjois New Little Round Pot Eyeshadow (Shade 01 Light).
Step 5: Apply a deep purple eye shadow in the outer half of the lid and smudge it with the pink eye shadow. If you want a deep smoky look, apply a tiny dash of black eye shadow in the outer half and blend it with purple for a deeper purple finish. You could use the deep purple and black from Deborah Eye Design Quad Eye Shadow.
Step 6: Next apply thick eye liner evenly on the upper lash line. To get a fine smooth line, I recommend using a felt tip liner like L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt.
Step 7: Apply kohl on the waterline and finish off with lashings of volumising mascara. You may also apply false lashes for additional drama. Try Maybelline Falsies Mascara.
Do up your face like Debina
Choose the right foundation shade to cover your blemishes. Apply loose powder to set the foundation. Choose a flattering coral pink blush and blend evenly in the hollow of your cheek bones and jaw line. I have applied Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Fresh Coral.
Get a pout like Debina's
To sport glossy red lips like her, apply a matte bright red lipstick like Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick, (Shade Hearts and Tarts) and top it with a clear gloss. I have used Deborah Euphoric Shine Lip Gloss (Shade 01 Transparent).
