Fashion diplomacy Michelle O style
The First Lady experimented with bright colors and bold patterns.
Her husband arguably has the most important job in the world, but when the US President and his wife made a two day visit to India last month, the female half of the country only had eyes for the tall, poised Michelle Obama. Already hailed as a fashion icon in the US, the Harvard educated First Lady created a stir as she stepped out of the plane in an unusual black-and-white checkered suit embossed with a large, bold, blue floral design created by Bhibhu Mohapatra, a New York-based Indian-American designer. The fashion press was abuzz with every detail of her hairstyle, accessories and makeup. It’s almost as though she was the duskier version of her predecessor, Jackie (Kennedy) Onassis, a fashionable public figure who remains a timeless fashion icon. Let’s take a look at some of Michelle Obama’s classiest fashion moments so far.
Though she wasn’t seen at too many public events on her India trip, it was impossible to miss Michelle O’s appearance in a splendid Bhibhu Mohapatra creation.
