Rosewater is very beneficial for both skin and hair. It is one of the easiest and cheapest way to incorporate in your beauty routine. Packed with antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties, rosewater is gentle and suits all skin types, from oily, dry to sensitive and irritated. Here are seven ways you can incorporate rosewater in your beauty routine.
Once you complete your cleansing routine, apply a mixture of lemon juice and rose water on your face. Rinse after a minute with cool water. This will completely remove makeup and dirt.
2. Control oil secretion
Rosewater is a blessing for oily skin! It reduces oil secretions and cleanses out pores. Make a smooth paste with a splash of rosewater and multani mitti. Apply a thin coat on your face and let it dry. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
3. Razor burns
Suffering from razor burns? Damp a cotton pad with rosewater and sweep over the irritated area. This will soothe, cool and soften skin.
4. Soft, silky strands
Once you have completed your shampoo and conditioner routine, mix two tablespoons of rosewater in one cup of water and pour through your strands. This will make your hair silky and fragrant.
Replace your toner with rosewater. Because of its anti-bacterial properties, it will soothe irritated, acne-prone skin and hydrate it as well. Just pour some on a cotton ball and swipe across your face.
Pour some rosewater in a small spray bottle and carry it everywhere. Spritz on before applying makeup to prep skin or anytime you feel hot and bothered.
Make a quick face pack with lemon juice and rosewater. Apply on the affected area or entire face for 25 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. If your skin is acne prone, use this mask twice a week.
