The new range from Garnier.
Garnier Fructis Goodbye Range by Garnier is an ideal combo of Shampoo & Conditioner, Damage Hair oil and Split End Bandage Serum. The brand alleges to repair the damaged caused to the hair in a year's time only in three washes, thus leaving the hair 10 times stronger and with four times less split ends.
Product: Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Shampoo & Conditioner
The shampoo comes in vibrant orange coloured bottle with a flip top packaging that is quite sturdy and travel friendly. The shampoo is pearly white in colour with a running texture. It lathers up well and has a mild fruity fragrance.
VERDICT
I always follow up with a conditioner launched in the market as my hair is comparatively dry. Though, the Damage Shampoo & Conditioner helped in detangling my hair partially, yet it failed to moisten my hair and made it dry. Besides, it also ripped off its existing moisture. It is however, I did not experience any hair fall but my hair was frizzy and rough throughout the day. Despite containing amla, fruit vitamins and fruit extracts the product failed to work wonders for my hair. Nevertheless, people with oily hair who desires for voluminous and wavy locks would definitely like it.
Product: Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Hair Oil
The oil is non-sticky and light in texture, and has soft fragrance. Due to its light texture it can be washed off easily. Application of few drops after shower at the tip of hair aids in keeping the hair frizz free and makes it manageable.
VERDICT
Though, I had no apparent signs of hair fall after the application of the hair oil, but my hair remained dry. The tall claims made by the company fell flat on its face since the oil failed to satisfy me as a customer fulfill the basic criteria of repairing the damaged hair. I was expecting this oil to give new lease of life to the dry texture of my hair, but it failed to do so. The texture of my hair remained all the same and I did not see any change in them, either getting softer, shinier or healthier for that matter.
Result for Garnier Split End Bandage Serum
After trying the oil and being fairly disappointed with the end result I decided to try the Split End Bandage Serum from the proposed range and was quite satisfied with the outcome. Though, I was bit apprehensive in the beginning since it is nearly impossible to repair split ends and one need to go for a regular trimming in order to get rid of the woe, its application aided in controlling my fly aways and also proved to be an excellent detangler. One can also use this serum before blow drying the hair. The serum proved to be a major show stealer and delivered what it claimed to, and made my dry and frizzy hair more manageable, healthier and added a sheen to it.
