No. 1 Nikhil Thampi
Last year, during the Fashion Week Nikhil created a wave of fashion that swept everyone off their feet. Every Bollywood diva since then has donned at least one of his creations. His USP is his skillful use of black with rich shades of gold that turn simple garments into classic masterpieces.
This year Nikhil chose a sheer and soft matte bronze look and combined it with a coppery bronze lipstick. The eyes are highlighted with a powdery cream-beige hue and the only place to where black dominates is the mascara-ed lashes.
If you want to try this look make sure the finish is flawless because it accentuates perfection and every flaw will show up if the application is faulty.
No. 2 Debarun Mukherjee
Another genius from the land of Tagore, Debarun cleverly combined beige, ivory, red and nude tones to create stunning traditional wear in a collection labeled Ba-Dastoor !
Hair softly tied back with a center parting is the perfect choice to keep the focus on the bride’s face. The braided look on the sides further elaborates the style giving the basic Indian look a glamorous edge.
The makeup is fresh with beige to brown-gold contoured eyes and vibrant peach blush. Meanwhile the lips have a soft bee stung look. Nykaa loves the beautiful ginger red lip color which is basically a three- toned colour that you can create by mixing orange, pink and red in the right proportion to get the shade you want.
No. 3 Anita Dongre
The effervescent Ms. Dongre brought the day to an end with her collection of vibrant reds, neon-lime greens, pinks and blues. The eclectic colors was kept muted with brocade and gold embroidery. It was a timeless collection, one that would suit women of all ages. While the garments grabbed the maximum attention, the makeup had its admirers too.
The models wore their hair piled up in cone-head up dos using gentle volumizing and twisting techniques. Eyes were highlighted using earthy golds and browns with a dash of black. Just enough drama to add the right touch to special evenings. The models sported avant-garde winged liners pulled from the sides of the upper and lower lids.
Gentle bronzing, a light dusting of blush and fine shaped brows lifted the look to the next level. The lips again were vibrant yet mellow using shades of pink and a dash of beige to balance the brightness. You could use gloss if you like.
