The Wedding Day Grooming Guide
Before you know it, the sun is up, it’s your wedding day and your suit is pressed and laid out on your bed. The bowtie winks and smirks. Today is when your heart will beat the loudest amongst a crowd of gleeful hearts. She will walk in, just like the first time she did and the world will turn over on itself, again. And as you await that moment, as you take in a deep breath, you want to be ready for her. You want to be ready for that smile, for that hand and for that kiss that will seal your souls forever. But we know your big day concerns so here’s the grooming guide that takes care of it all.
Keep it clean, keep it classic
Your wedding day is not the time to experiment a buzz or crew cut extensions. Today, stick to the classics. A conservative, clean haircut is what you need to avoid cowering in embarrassment as you watch your wedding photos five years later.
Strategize your haircut
A last minute haircut isn’t an option for a groom-to-be. Ideally, get one a week before your wedding to allow your hair to get into shape. Have a trial run with all the hair products you want to style your hair with so that you know you’re in good hands.
Beard or no beard
That is the question. Don’t force it. If you have a natural, healthy beard and want to style it up for your D-day, go for it. A clean shaven look never fails; struggle not if you have a scrawny beard to rescue yourself from. For those of you who want to sport the beard tale, make sure you oil and trim it to perfection.
The last thing you want to greet your to-be-wife with is nose hair. Trim those hidden tangles and make sure nothing is peeking through.
Dirty nails don’t cut it gents! Not on your wedding day. So however hung over you maybe from a possible bachelor party, trim your nails and file them to shape. Make sure they are clean. If you want to be super sure, get a manicure.
The basic gods of cleansing, toning and moisturising goes a long way. Your face is what sets the impression head on. Keep your skin fresh and rejuvenated for the most important day of your life.
Get a good night’s sleep
Ample amount of sleep will have you geared up and ready for your wedding. No-one likes a tired groom who’s yawning his way to glory. Sleep well to avoid those droopy moments.
