Get the look: Bhumika’s berry lips
Date: 12 january 2017

We’ve been crushing so hard on this look that Bobbi Brown created on our fave model-of-the-moment Bhumika Arora, that we got BB artists to give us the step-by-step. You’re looking at our #lipgoals for this season - By Parizaad Khan Sethi

1. Moisturize skin well to prep it for the makeup to come. After moisturizing, use your fingers to press an illuminating balm or liquid highlighter onto the temple and the highpoints of cheeks. This will prime skin and it give it a fresh, lit-from-within glow.

2. Next, apply a corrector to neutralize any darkness under the eyes. Over that, apply a concealer to lighten the under-eye area so that it matches the rest of your skin. Then, spot-apply Bobbi’s Skin Foundation Stick where needed, to even out the skintone.

3. To brighten the face, apply Retouching Face Pencil on dark, recessed parts of the face, like around the nose and corners of mouth. This creamy pencil will help bring light to the areas where darkness and shadows naturally form.

4. Set it all with a light dusting of Pressed Powder, to extend the longevity of the makeup.

5. Apply a pop of color by layering a warm, reddish-toned blush like Bobbi Brown Blush in Berry on the apple of cheeks.

6. To create a neutral ivory or off-white base on the eye, which will help diffuse any redness, use Eye Shadow in Bone all over the lid, from the lash line to the brow bone. Follow that with a layer of the greyish brown Eye Shadow, Taupe, placing it from the lash line to slightly above the crease.

7. Define eyes by applying a brown-black liner; we love Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink. Use an ultra-fine eyeliner brush from the outer corner in, all the way across the upper and lower lash lines.

8. Brows are the showstopper here: define them with Mahogany Eye Shadow to fill in the gaps where hair is most sparse. The greyish-brown tones of Saddle Eye Shadow will help to add fullness throughout the brow, mimicking Bhumika’s lush, natural arches.

9. Put the finishing touch on the eyes with a few layers of Smokey Eye Mascara, followed by a layer of Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara on the lower lashes.

10. The cherry on top of this polished look is the Plum Brandy Luxe Lip Color. Use it directly from the tube or use a lip brush for more precision. For the most natural-looking definition, line the lips with Rum Raisin Lip Pencil after applying lip color.
