This legendary brand has some serious skincare, makeup and perfume cred, and we’ve cherry-picked the products that make our hearts beat a little (okay, a lot) faster - By Parizaad Khan Sethi
This antioxidant-packed anti-ageing serum—known by its acronym ANR—is the Madonna of beauty products. Like the musical icon, ANR has proved it has some serious endurance and relevance in industries where newest and youngest is most often thought of as best. The serum tightens and brightens, and our sensitive skins have always woken up feeling regenerated after a run-in with this star. It’s also spawned a whole ANR line, with an eye cream and eye serum, face mask, and balm and foam cleansers. Shine on.
What we love most about this moisturizer is that it provides two vital components the skin needs to remain healthy and young: antioxidants and sunscreen (though the SPF of 15 is more suited for indoor wear than spending hours out in the sun). When antioxidants are paired with a sunscreen, it enhances the effectiveness of sun protection, so this moisturizer (in variants for dry, as well as normal-combination skin) packs a hefty one-two punch.
We jokingly call this serum CPR, because of its stellar reviving effects on lifeless skin. It has some solid temporary and permanent benefits for skin: blurring lines and pores are some of the former; it also keeps the skin well-supplied with a host of antioxidants and peptides, which are the building blocks your skin needs to keep itself plump, elastic and healthy.
You can now officially stop the treasure hunt for a daily-use matt foundation with medium, buildable coverage. This guy is for all those who need a base that can take them from day to night without rubbing off or disappearing altogether. It can safely be worn day after day without causing blocked pores or irritation as it’s non-comedogenic and fragrance-free (that still means you have to cleanse it off properly, of course!). Try it and it’s sure to become a reliable, daily staple.
Take everything you love about a glossy lipstick (comfort, nourishment, wearability), and think of all the plusses of matt lippies (super colour payoff, longevity). Estée took all the pros and none of the cons of both these lipstick variants and infused them into one bullet. So, there’s eye-popping colour, a smooth, velvety mouthfeel with no dryness and tugging, a pretty solid lip life, and a colour range that inspires us to change shades three times a day.
Modern Muse represents one of the very few times a fragrance lives up to its name. It has none of that cloying, infantile sweetness that often characterizes new female scents these days. It’s a thoroughly modern mélange of white flowers like jasmine, tuberose and lily, fused with a mellow dry down of patchouli, amber, musk and vanilla. It’s sexy, sophisticated and transitions effortlessly from date night to party all night.
We can never get enough of the dreamy original Pleasures—a sheer floral cloudburst of brightness and light. It’s a happy-making daytime fragrance guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Every time our bottle runs out, we run to replace it, no questions asked.
