The perfect combination of sassy and sweet, Mithila Palkar is downright delightful to talk to! She became a known face on television, thanks to the Maggi ads and her super adorable charm. Then her cover on a legendary Marathi song using cups as instruments on Youtube went viral. Compliments flowed in from the social media janta and members of the film fraternity! Currently she’s living the dream and is a complete show-stopper as Meera Sehgal in Bindass’s web-series Girl in the City.

What prompted you to take this career path?
I went on stage for the first time at 12 in school. Immediately it became clear to me that this was my calling. Even though things did not work out then, acting somehow found me again. I volunteered for Prithvi’s Thespo, a Youth Theatre Movement and moved on to helming it as a Festival Manager for one year. That is how the ball started rolling. The next thing I knew I was auditioning for various roles and finally making my way through!
What do you love MOST about acting?
That is easier said than done, but the fact that I get to be a different person every time I am in front of the camera is what I love the most about my job!
What's in your vanity box?
Lots of Colorbar lipsticks! I am literally a sucker for them. My favorite shade is French Pink and believe me I wear it quite a LOT. Then there is a Lakme eye-liner, a Kryolan concealer and a small mirror.
One beauty product that gets you through the day!
Definitely my eyeliner. For me, it is the easiest thing to apply coupled with my pink lipstick and I feel totally set for the day!
Tell us the ultimate curly-haired-girl-code you swear by!
I just wash my hair DO NOT use a comb to brush it through. Letting them be is my go-to mantra!
One thing you have in common with the adorable 'Meera Sehgal.
*Giggles* She is full of life and energy.
Name your favourite co-star.
Famed lyricist, Swanand Kirkire! We worked together for an ad and it was a blast. I had the most memorable time talking to him about literature, books, films and more. The best part, we still hang out!
One selfie-tip you swear by.
Don’t show your full face!
Who is your Beauty Icon?
My Aunt. She is always keeping up with trends and has a knack for choosing fun clothes which I ultimately end up borrowing!
What's the travel destination that's on your mind right now?
Any place that lets me live under the stars.
On an entirely different note, Cupcakes or Donuts?
