So far, all our nail art has centered around colored polish, and what better time than Spring to go wild with nudes? Globally, runways have been awash with nude nails with a hint of soft pastel and pop hues. We love nudes because they’re chic, elegant and so easy to flaunt. And the best part, they can never be OTT; wear them to brunch or the boardroom…
Follow this simple nude nail art step by step for chic nude color nails! Let’s get started!
Double Trouble
Take the classic French mani to the next level. This is quick and simple. Plus, you can create your own variations with different colors.
You will need:
Nail guide/tape/stripper tape
Steps:
- Apply a thin layer of the base coat. Let it dry for 30 seconds.
- Then apply two coats of the nude shade and let it dry completely.
- Once you nail polish has dried. Stick the nail stripper tape and apply the white nail polish.
- Cut another piece of the nail striper and stick it in the centre of the white tip. Fill the top tip with blue nail polish.
- Let the nail polish dry for a couple of minutes and gently peel off the stripper tape.
- Seal the mani with a top coat.
Half And Half
Well, it kind of looks similar to a French mani, but the lines are diagonal here. This adds an edge to your nails.
You will need:
Nail stripper tape/ scotch tape
Steps:
- Apply a thin layer of the base coat. Let it dry for 30 seconds.
- Then apply two coats of the nude shade and let it dry completely.
- Cut a piece of tape and place it diagonally.
- Paint the tip of your nail with the blue nail polish. Let it dry for a minute or two. Then carefully peel off the tape.
- Seal the mani with a top coat.
Pop Dot
Chic, elegant and classy! This nail art is perfect for short nails. The dots on the tip elongate the nails, giving an illusion of longer nails.
You will need:
Dotting tool
Steps:
- Apply a thin layer of the base coat. Let it dry for 30 seconds.
- Apply a coat on the nude nail polish. Let it dry completely.
- Take a small amount of the pop nail polish shade on a piece of paper.
- With the help of a dotting tool create two dots close to the tips of your nail.
- Seal the mani with a top coat.
Polka Mania
Polka dots are super cute, sassy and always in style. This is one of the easiest and fastest nail arts to master. You don’t have be a pro or concentrate on the placement of the dots. Just dot any way you like.
You will need:
Dotting tool
Steps:
- Apply a thin layer of the base coat. Let it dry for 30 seconds.
- Paint all your nails, except the ring finger in the shade nude.
- Paint the ring finger with white nail polish.
- Now start dotting the nude nails with white nail polish and the white nail with nude shade dots. You can do your own variations with the dots.
- Seal the mani with a top coat.
