#1 Back to the basics with flirtatious lashes

“The eyeliner trend is completely passé and already on its way out. The romantic doe-eyed look takes center stage. To achieve that upcoming beauty trend in 2020, snagging natural-looking extensions for its flirty vibe will be a smart move. Expect a minimal show of bright lips this year. It’s going to be nude lips with a matte base to add a subtle touch of color without going OTT. As for the face, a high definition contoured, sculpted look for the chiseled cheekbones effect will set the bar high. The use of blush, highlighter and illuminator is very minimal; instead it’s more like an au naturale Cinderella.”

#2 Go green with Bakuchiol for skin

Already on the green lane? Cheers, ’cause natural products will take full flight this year. “Customers today are making conscious decisions about the ingredients used in products. This has led to a surge in natural beauty,” says Dr Jaishree. This also reinforces the shift toward bakuchiol-infused products as a substitute to retinoids. “In terms of hair, the theme this year is very romantic and fairytale-like… hair that is styled without too much heat-inducing devices, more like classic Hollywood waves with a bounce on the crown area is here to rule the world. The final look is very textured or sculpted, like Diana Palmer from The Phantom,” informs Ojas. #8 Hair accents take over
