It’s an Indo-Pak rom com, guaranteed to make you giggle. A Muslim Pakistani lad (Ali Zafar) and pretty Hindu Indian damsel (Yami Gaitam) fall in love. So is this inter-religious love affair the cog the movie revolves around? Not quite, the siyapaa is all about where the two lovers come from. It’s an India-Pakistan tale with a twist, and revolves around a series of unfortunate events that befall the good-hearted but hapless Pakistani boy when he visits his girlfriend’s Pakistan-phobic family, leading to some of the funniest, chaotic and most outrageous situations we’ve ever seen on screen.
Siyapaa, a Punjabi-Urdu word, connotes mourning or wailing and Total Siyapaa abounds in Total Chaos as Ali Zafar and falls heads over heels in love with Yami Gautam, much to the horror of her paranoid mother (played adeptly by Kirran Kher) who mutters about siyapaa all through the film.
Apart from the good looking pair of Zafar (a Pakistani in real life too) and Gautam, the producers have assembled talented actors like Anupam Kher and Sara Khan. Interestingly, this is the first time Kirran and Anupam Kher are playing a reel-life couple.
Neeraj Pandey, the film’s new-age director is also one of the producers. He says, "It is a complete departure from the genre of films that we've attempted before. It’s in the realm of meaningful yet entertaining cinema. We had fun making it and hope the audience has fun watching it”.
Nykaa has decided to add some spice to the express tutorial, preferring to ignore the ethereally gorgeous Gautam to give male shoppers on Nykaa a little guide book on how they too can pamper their crowning glory to get Zafar-like strands. All you need are a few grooming tips and products (available right here at Nykaa) to look suave and immaculately groomed. Go on, give Zafar a run for his money!
Recreate Ali Zafar's preppy hairstyle.
The preppy look is getting increasingly popular with the man about town. After all, a smart hair style is bound to attract attention. This style works best for boys with sleek straight hair because it enhances the style. Having said that, these hairstyles and cuts are a wee bit more high maintenance than others hairstyles. However, the end result is well worth every bit of time spent styling your mane. Take your pick of asymmetrical bangs or straight across cut bangs that work beautifully to frame your face and enhance the style.
Choose the right type of shampoo and conditioner for regular maintenance. I highly recommend Paul Mitchell Super Strong Shampoo. Then finish your routine with Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Conditioner. The conditioner provides daily smoothing, conditioning care specially for frizzy hair, instantly detangling strand
Next apply a few drops of Kerastase Homme Capital Force Anti Oiliness Treatment especially if you have an oily scalp or strands. It delivers purifying ingredients that create a long lasting squeaky clean feeling. Or simply massage in some L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Mix Sublime Shine Serum if you have dry hair. The formula provides mild hold and eliminates frizz.
Blast dry using the Elchim Milano Hair Dryer and style with the Kent KS15 Curling, Straightening, Smoothing & Finishing Brush.
If you are going for an evening do straight after work and need long lasting all day styling, treat your hair with a dab of Paul Mitchell ESP. Apply the formula on damp hair before blow drying. The product works wonders and helps you create bendable textures with flexible hold. You can shape multiple styles such as spikes, twists and bends. It’s a highly concentrated formula, so a little goes a long way.
Use a hair iron if required to straighten obstinate strands or waves. This one is light weight and so easy to handle.
