India's finest set the red carpet on fire
The Cannes Film Festival is where the world’s most glamorous people come together to celebrate cinema and fashion in the backdrop of the French Riviera every year. No surprises that India’s best known and most gorgeous beauties—and L’Oreal Paris brand ambassadors—grabbed eyeballs with their impeccable style as they posed on the red carpet at Cannes 2014. Take a look at what the three Indian beauties, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto,wore on the red carpet this year.
The quintessential star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Look 1:Aishwarya Rai’s first red carpet appearance this year in a gold Roberto Cavalli gown was a stunner. No better way to silence her critics who’ve made jibes about her weight since she gave birth to daughter Aaradhya. She flaunted her sexy figure in the gleaming gown that hugged her curves to perfection. Voluminous waves and oxblood lips added the wow factor to her look. The eyes were kept simple but impactful with winged liner, pale gold eye shadow and heaps of false lashes. The skin was fresh and luminous with a hint of blush. But the real star of her look was the fresh red lip, Lincoln Rose from the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick collection for Cannes 2014. To put it simply, she looked super glamorous and simple breath taking!

Look 2: For her second appearance, Aishwarya dialled down the glamour but maintained her allure in an opulently embellished white Cavalli gown. Her hair was styled in soft waves and her makeup kept simple with the focus on her grey-green eyes. The cool toned sparkly eye shadow complemented her eyes perfectly while the glossy nude lips finished the look. She looked beautiful and mysterious!
Look 3: For her final appearance, Aishwarya wore a softly flowing, cream-gold number by Armani Prive. Her makeup was super glamorous and a touch avant garde; a turquoise eye paired with a rich red lip. While colorful eye shadow with a bold lip is a makeup no-no, Aishwarya carried off the look as only she can. She teamed this look with Chopard jewellery and side-swept hair. Teal eye shadow and red lips completed the look for this stunner at the dinner that she hosted along with husband Abhishek Bachchan.
The divalicious Sonam Kapoor
Look 1: Sonam Kapoor’s first look reminded us of a modern day princess with a romantic vibe. Wearing a dramatic and beautiful Ellie Saab Couture gown, Sonam’s first appearance at the red carpet got her a spot on every best dressed list! Retro waves with a faux bob, raspberry lips and lightly touched up eyes finished her look. Her makeup artist Namrata Soni used the lipstick Raspberry Syrup from the new L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick collection for this look. We like the look but wish the eyebrows had been toned down a bit. They looked too fierce and prominent!

Look 2 : Sonam Kapoor’s second red carpet appearance was a stunner! She looked like an ethereal Indian fairytale princess. She chose to wear one of her favorite Indian designers, Anamika Khanna. The blush colored fusion saree paired with a gold choker from Sonam’s mother Sunita’s collection looked beautiful on the red carpet. The sleek mid parted hair with the smoky eye-nude lip combination was spot on and complemented her outfit perfectly. L’Oreal Paris recommends shade Maple Mocha from their new L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick collection for the lips.

The exotic Freida Pinto
Look 1: Freida Pinto’s first look in a nude feathered Michael Kors gown showed us the perfect makeup for dusky skin. Soft defined eyes, fresh blooming cheeks and ruby red lips added some much needed color to her look. The red lip added a beautiful glow to her complexion. In fact, she looked radiant.
Look 2: Freida Pinto’s second look was well, a little disappointing after her first appearance on the red carpet. First what was right; the coral Oscar de la Renta strapless gown was a gorgeous choice. The tight bun and minimal jewelry set off her features perfectly. Now what was wrong; smoky eyes and overdone brows and pale nude lips didn’t really work. Also, though the grown was lovely by itself, it seemed to blend with the red carpet and didn’t flatter her complexion.
