The five days of festivities are interspersed with copious amounts of rich food, taash parties and late nights by the boatload.
A big part of Diwali, however, is gifting and TBH, there’s nothing quite like ‘yourself presents’. Because, hey, you work hard all year and you deserve to treat yo’ self. But in the manic rush to get everything ordered, sometimes, well, things get out of hand and—let’s face it—out of budget! And before you know it, you’re sitting on a mound of goodies, eyeball-deep in credit card debt. Skrrt and skedaddle. My fellow editors and I have often been victims of overspending. Okay, maybe not victims, but we’re definitely guilty of overindulging. So, we devised a fun way to get everything we want, all the while sticking to our budgets. We assigned different cash limits and created the best possible kits, and here’s what we came up with.
