Fancy a fragrance wardrobe?

Every man about town knows that different social occasions demand different clothes. A pinstripe suit with a crisp white shirt for an official meeting, jeans and linen for a Sunday lunch and shorts with Tee for a day on the beach. Why then shouldn't you have a fragrance for every occasion? After all, while a deodorant works perfectly well for a gym session you wouldn't dare use one for a night on the town. It's time the savvy man built himself a wardrobe closet so he's prepared for every situation.

Work day fragrances

Sitting in the boardroom or at closed door meetings, the last thing you want to do is spray on a heavy, heady scent. Colognes are not appropriate either because they leave a very distinguishable scent trail. Office environments demand a light, airy scent, one that's clean and light smelling, preferably a citrus, floral or herbaceous.

Date night scents

The perfect way to woo your lady love is by wearing a perfume that's stronger with musky scents. Look for notes like amber, vanilla and musk in your scent. If you prefer a stronger perfume that's long lasting, make sure it contains notes of vetiver, amber and agarwood.

Seasonal scents

It's always a good idea to let the season guide your scent bouquet. In hot weather, scents tend to evaporate quickly from the skin, so avoid wearing musky notes. On the other hand, lemon, citrus notes, marine aqua notes, organic, herbal (think of the smell of freshly cut grass) and bergamot work beautifully because they symbolize all that is fresh ad light. Try using L'Occitane Eau De Toilette. Meanwhile, winter time scents should be all about comfort and warmth. You could experiment with notes of vanilla, chocolate, caramel, praline, amber and spices.

Perfumes for a sporty life

Your daily wear perfumes won't do for a workout session in the gym or that soccer session with your pals. You need a scent that invigorates the senses. One that has vitality and freshness for the ultimate sporty vibe. Look for a fragrance with peppery or citrus notes. You could also make do with a sweat-proof deodorant. Make sure that you don't drench yourself with perfume; sweat and fragrance is a bad olfactory combination. Just apply to pulse points, the wrists, behind the ears and base of throat that generate heat and make the scent last. Spraying on clothes is not advisable.
