She’s a model, actress and Kathak dancer! Meet Kriti Sanon, the stunning looker who made her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff in the recently released Heropanti, a remake of the 1983 film Hero. This tall, striking Delhi lass chose acting over a career in IT, and aren’t we glad she did! I happened to meet her at a Manish Malhotra shoot in 2011, and she just swept me off my feet. She is one of the most relaxed beauties I’ve ever seen.
Kriti is like a breath of fresh air, coming as she does from a non-filmi background. Her mother is a professor and her father a chartered accountant. This fresh faced beauty is the first to admit that she didn’t have to struggle to get a foothold in Bollywood. “I’ve been lucky. I know there are many who work so hard to get into films. I believe in destiny. Things have fallen into place for me,” she said. Her hard work has paid off. As one critic wrote, “This debutante has acted like a veteran”. Cheers to that!
A sought after model, she has walked the ramp for Ritu Beri, Suneet Varma, Niki Mahajan and Chennai International Fashion Week 2014. She is a also a popular choice for television commercials, having endorsed brands such as Close Up, Vivel, Amul, Samsung and Himalaya.
Kriti made her acting debut with psychological thriller Nenokkadine, a Telegu film earlier this year opposite Mahesh Babu. But she has always wanted to act in Bollywood films. She’s excited about Heropanti and says the youth are bound to identify with the film that’s essentially a love story with a social message. “The characters want the right to live their life the way they want to without interference and hostility. Yet they are deeply rooted in their traditional culture and values,” she explains. This tutorial is all about creating glam and girl- next-door blushing beauty.Get Kriti’s glow with a little help from Nykaa’s beauty chest. Of course some old fashioned exercise will also help to bring the roses back to your cheeks.
Sport Kriti's fresh faced beauty
In the movie, Kriti’s look was nicely complemented by a rosy-cheeked glow created by generously applying blush to the lower cheekbones. To enhance the eyes while keeping the overall effect subtle, the makeup artists used a hint of pink shadow accentuated by a touch of dark mascara and liner. Translucent foundation provides a gentle base, while the lips were kept soft and creamy. Shades of rosy pink lipstick ensured the look stayed natural and pretty.
In line with Kriti’s look in the film, leave your hair loose and lightly blow dried or pulled back in an effortless up do. Kirti looks as though she swept her hair back with a brush in an attempt to tame her windblown locks. To get this look yourself, this is what you need to do.
For this fresh-faced look, start by applying Bodyography Veil Foundation Primer – Neutral. Dab tiny amount of formula all over your face and blend evenly.
Next apply a light-reflecting foundation, like Rimmel Match Perfection SPF 18 Foundation, and sheer it out with a Basicare 4 NR Foundation Diamond Sponge.
Its best to skip powder to keep your look dewy and natural. Keep the brows natural; just brush them upward and sideways. Then set them in place withKent TWMU2 Eye & Lashes Grooming Brush.
Apply a light wash of peachy pink eye shadow to your upper lids. UseLakme Absolute Color Illusion Pearl Eye Shadow, Shade Peach Pearl. Then curl lashes withFaces Premium Eyelash Curlerand add a coat of mascara.
Next use a large fluffy brush to sweep a rosy pink blush under your cheekbones. I like the flush you can get from the Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush. Just a single application is enough to add a flush of color.
Use Maybelline Color Sensational Pink Alert- POW1 on lips for an effortless hint of color. If you haven’t mastered flawless application, use a lipstick brush like Kent TWMU6 Lip Brush to draw the perfect Cupid’s Bow.
