Gabbar Is Back, a remake of Tamil film Rammana has Akshay Kumar playing a modern day vigilante, aka Robin Hood. We loved his nonchalant delivery, to-die-for bod and twinkling eyes as he bashes up baddies, drawling, I hate sorries. Sure, Shruti, the pretty, vivacious daughter of Sarika and Kamal Hassan, doesnt have much of a role but we just couldnt get enough of her candy pink lips and gorgeous tresses that popped up on the screen every chance she got as she played the outspoken, quick thinking Marathi mulgi onscreen.
So is she the next big thing on the block? Looking at how well shes managing her very busy schedule, her second innings might just well prove to be what she needs to catapult her career. Shes working round the clock, with six movies in her kitty. We love all her looks in the film, but cant get enough of her bombshell hair. Yes, we know how everyones wilting in the heat right now, but our strands take the worst beating. Read on for the Top Eight Tips to sport luscious locks this summer.
Eight steps for stunning strands!
1. Shiny soft hair
Prepare a mixture of one cup of your daily conditioner and two to three tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture evenly on wet hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off thoroughly with tepid water. This mixture will close your hair's cuticle and give your hair amazing shine.
2. Baking soda therapy
Do you wear a lot of hair product to work or socially? If you get tired washing it off like we do, try this. Make a mixture of three tablespoons baking soda and some water. Rinse your hair with this solution after shampooing. Let it sit for at least five minutes before the final rinse. This little trick will remove excess shampoo and styling product from your hair.
3. Pool protection
Its fun to splash out in summer but chlorinated water can do great damage to your hair. Protect your strands from pool damage by simply applying conditioner to your hair before you swim. This will protect your hair before it comes in contact with the pool water.
4. Tame your tresses
Avoid using a brush with plastic bristles or a comb to keep hair breakage to a minimum. The best way to brush your hair is by first brushing the ends to remove tangles and then making long strokes from the roots to mid lengths. This technique will help properly spread natural hair oils for added gloss and strength, and prevent breakage.
5. For strong hair
Use almond oil to treat dry and damaged hair. Its a simple DIY: just pour some almond oil in a bowl and heat it for 40 seconds. Then evenly distribute it on your hair. Leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse normally with shampoo and conditioner using cold water.
6. The deep cleanse
The most important cause for hair fall is dandruff and an itchy scalp. Therefore, maintain good cleanliness for beautiful, healthy strands. Trial and test is the only way to choose a dandruff shampoo that works for you.
7. Lemon juice to banish dull hair
After applying hair oil followed by a shampoo, use one tablespoon of lemon juice diluted with a little water to your hair to bring back the shine. Simply towel dry strands and style as normal. Alternatively use a lemon juice based shampoo.
8. Wholesome diet
Drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet of raw fruits and vegetables. The most effective home treatment for hair care is a healthy diet. You are what you eat, and your skin and strands are the outward reflection of how healthy you are on the inside.
