As a child, getting a hold of my personality wasn’t that big a struggle as much as comprehending my wriggly-wiggly mane. Back then, curly hair equaled an unruly mane. It called for instant taming. And in my dictionary, the only tabooed ‘F’ word stood for frizz. Thus, abandoning my natural texture for a sleek, polished mane went without saying.
Truth be known: You can fool yourself, but not your head full of dreadlocks. No miracle potions, straightening mechanisms or frizz fighters could detangle away my pain. A meltdown was imminent, and now that I look back, it meant letting go of my social anxiety and moving on to curlier pastures. Thank heavens! Accepting my big hair wasn’t an overnight switch either but it gave me more time in hand. Then, the more I let my spirals spiral, the less crazy they seemed to get. It was also my chance to stand out amid the sea of straight, easy locks.
Although overtime I hit the soft spot, living insouciantly without an excuse in sight. Unfortunately, its lost my knack to experiment. Therefore, as a wake-up call this summer, I took up a week-long challenge. To embark on a frizzy journey that’s versatile and fuss-free.

To ring in the weekend with élan, I tested the wet-and-dry style that’s been ruling the runway. I parted my hair in the middle and generously slapped on OMORFEE Nutrify Hair Oilin the crown section. This also put the groovy in my weekly champi. As for the rest of my locks, I let it take its course.
