We asked her about her favourite tips and tricks related to concealing and perfecting the base. She talks about her new launch - Kay Beauty’s HD Liquid Concealer, and why it’s become her go-to product.
Beauty Book: What’s your pro tip to finding the right shade?
Katrina: Always try the product on your chin (not your hand) to understand the correct tone.
Beauty Book: Is there a unique way you use this liquid concealer, apart from the base?
Katrina: Because of its texture and the caring ingredients, it’s a great primer for under eyes, especially after a rough night. It plumps up the skin and evens out the skin tone.
Beauty Book: What’s your go-to look that’s easy to create and doesn’t need a lot of products?
Katrina: A good moisturiser before any makeup is a must. I put on concealer under my eyes and as a contouring tool to lift my cheekbones and blend. I use a very lightweight, almost sheer foundation to finish the base. I love a basic kajal look with a little smudged-kohl on the upper lid as well, and finally some nude pink lips!
Beauty Book: What’s a concealer hack you’re really proud of?
Katrina: I often correct my makeup mistakes with concealers! It’s so easy and especially when you’re in a rush it’s super hard to start all over again. I just dab on some concealer and hide the mistakes - whether it’s an eyeliner gone wrong, a very dark blush, some eyeshadow mishap… anything.
