The first week into a new year leaves me perturbed without fail. The unrealistic pressure of doing right by my resolutions -eating healthy, of morphing into a new and improved person like a windup toy (overnight) — puts a damper on my mood. The days feel drab, the nights amiss the high of a celebratory spirit. And the first few days of 2023 were no different.
This is why I have been eagerly awaiting the kickstart of festivities-the 2023 edition! I can’t wait for the wave of jubilation to wash over me, the invigorating jolt to help me break free from my slump and most importantly, an excuse to launch some terrific looks. For the uninitiated, Lohri is right around the corner and is observed (on the 14th of January) in light of the winter harvest season across Northern India. Giving me just the opportunity to attempt restarting the year on a high note! (it’s never too late!)
