New At Nykaa: Latest Budget-Friendly Launches On The Block

I am always on the lookout for the latest launches, and it’s great that I am a Beauty Editor at Nykaa, because this platform keeps launching new brands, products, and formulations on the reg, creating a great space for me to feed my love for all things new. Although it’s always fun to try luxe products on the company’s dime, budget-friendly products are what I really love. Because if I love them, I know I am definitely going to make a purchase. After all, adult money and free will exist to make us gworlies spurlge on skincare that actually makes us happy.

So, without further ado, here are three brands that I tried recently – Underated, Dream Beauty, and TBC - The Bath and Care and what I liked from their range on Nykaa.

Underated

This is one of the most clean, conscious, and transparent brands in the budget-friendly price range that actually works. Their research-backed and high-quality skin, hair, and body care products are being well-appreciated by the skincare girlies, and after researching, I found these three products to be the bestsellers and equally beloved in the community.

Firstly, the 25% AHA 2% BHA and 5% PHA peeling solution is a strong formulation to say the least. Because it was so strong, I didn’t want to first test it on my skin, so I used it on my pigmented elbows and feet. And I must say, it made my skin feel super soft, and in a few hours, I could see my dead skin peeling, revealing new skin cells. It’s a good formulation for targeted peeling, so go ahead with a small amount and don’t forget to moisture during and after.

Next, their 2% Salicylic Acid and 3% Betaine serum is really light and non-comedogenic. Its water-like texture soaked up all the oil and cleared my active, raging acne. The witch hazel and gallic acid are also calming for the skin and soothed my irritated skin.

Lastly, the 2% Alpha Arbutin and 1% Niacinamide serum with Kakadu Plum is a great skin brightening and hydrating formulation. It’s a gentle formula that calms sensitive skin and evens out skin texture. It’s suitable for all skin types, minimises pores, and radiates your skin for an even complexion.

Dream Beauty

Although this is not a very well-known beauty and makeup brand, I found it to be very underrated. The product formulation is creamy, the appellation is smooth, and the overall look is dreamy. There are three products that I really liked were their blush sticks, glow foundation, and the creamy matte lipsticks.

The Dream Beauty Nebula Cream Blush is a woman of multitudes. She is a blush for the cheeks, a stain for the lips, and a tint for the lids. The formula is super creamy; it melts as soon as it comes in contact with the skin, and blends effortlessly. They suit all skin tones and undertones due to the hues inspired by cosmic clouds.

The Dream Beauty Celestial Glow Foundation is a natural skin tint that’s super lightweight and becomes one with the skin in an instant. It is also high-coverage, skin-adapting, and luminous. The dewy finish blurs out pores and yet feels like nothing.

The Dream Beauty Intuition Lipstick is a creamy matte formula that hydrates and lasts up to 12 hours. It’s highly pigmented, luxurious, and doesn’t fade away easily. The smooth yet bold formula ensures the colour payoff brightens your skin and evens out your complexion for a dynamic look.

TBC - The Bath and Care

TBC is an all-rounder, providing care for your skin, hair, and body. They have a wide range of products ranging from perfumes, shampoos, face masks, collagen lotions, face washes, and more. So, I really had to pick a few of the best sellers from the plethora of products and here’s my review on their perfume, their collagen face mask, and a needle glow face booster.

The Bath And Care Kiol Fragrance in the scent – Party & Play is spicy and refreshing. It perfectly balances herbal, woody, and Sichuan peppery aromatic elements, evoking something primal in you. It also boasts a harmonious blend of lavender, geranium, and patchouli, creating a refined, aromatic experience.

The Bath and Care Bio-Collagen Overnight Hydrogel Face Mask is a game-changer when it comes to naturally boosting your collagen production. It brightens your face, improves firmness, promotes skin elasticity, and visibly rejuvenates the skin.

The Bath and Care Needle Glow Advanced Exosome Infused Skin Booster is made with exosome technology that harnesses nanovessels to enter your skin cells and target the protein that makes up your skin. It addresses common skin conditions such as large pores, uneven skin texture, pigmentation, and inflamed skin.

Parting Thoughts

These new drops on Nykaa are not a great addition to your skincare shelves and makeup vanity, but they are also budget-friendly and thus something you can definitely try for yourself without having to shell out a lot of money. FAQs

  1. How to use an overnight mask?

Usually, face masks are meant to be used only for 20-30 minutes. Overusing them can cause your skin to dry out. But overnight masks are meant to be used longer, since they boost collagen production, hydrate your skin, and make it velvety soft. Make sure to moisturise your skin after using the overnight sheet mask.

  2. How to make lipstick last longer?

If you are using a liquid lipstick, it will last longer, but dry out your puckers. Use a creamy matte lipstick that hydrates your lips, but tends to fade away faster. To ensure your creamy mattes last longer, exfoliate your lips, add a lip liner, and add a layer of gloss so that the colour under it stays put.
