It’s midday, and your face looks like it’s suffering from an oil spill. Trust me, we’ve all been there. But don’t despair, girls. It is possible for those of us with oily skin to wear makeup all day long without looking like something the cat dragged in.
We’ve tried and tested several products and have come up with the perfect routine to make sure our makeup doesn’t budge despite our oily skin.
1. Clean = Clear
First things first, get your skin game on. Use a gentle oil-free cleanser daily like the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser to rid your skin of all the gunk that often clogs your pores. 2. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
Just because you have oily skin doesn’t mean you can skip this essential step in your CTM routine. Remember, when your skin is hydrated your oil glands don’t go into overdrive with the sebum production.
3. Primed And Ready
Just a little mattifying primer goes a really long way. 4. Get, Set(ting Powder), Go
Take your anti-oil campaign one step further and dab your face with a translucent setting powder before you reach for your foundation. Not only will this absorb the extra oil keeping your face looking matte for longer, but it will keep your makeup in place all day long. 5. All About The Base
Since your skin already produces more oil than the Middle East, you need a long wear foundation that’s oil-free. P.S: Make sure you don’t apply your base on too thick, so it doesn’t look cakey.
6. Spray It On
We’ve discovered that using an extra layer of protection for our makeup works wonders. Behold, the setting spray. 7. Get Waterproof!

8. Get In Line
Using a liner to line your lips prevents your lipstick from “bleeding”, something we oily-skinned girls often suffer from. 9. Blotting paper
