A feat in innovative beauty products, if there ever was one! At first I was sceptical, but was converted after the very first use. Although it says ‘Balm’, the minute it meets your skin—because of its natural heat—the balm starts turning into an oil and melts everything away. I mean everything, including water-proof mascara and matte lipstick. What seals the deal for me is that it also has cleansing properties that minimise the effects of city life like pollution after a day outdoors. It truly does help me take the day off.
Guerlain Meteorites Base
A gorgeous amalgamation of technology and beauty, the Guerlain Meteorites Base often has the words “Holy Grail” attached to it. This sumptuous liquid boasts Guerlain’s signature Stardust technology, which means it uses ground celestial powders that have a blurring effect on skin the minute light hits your face. Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper and Hair Touch Up
Easily, one of the most underrated products in my handbag, this has been my niftiest find this year. Easy, convenient and effective, my trifecta when it comes to beauty products, this ticks all the boxes. I, like many others, hate the feeling of brow gels that make me feel like my brows have been glued together. This brow shaper gives you a natural hold but stays put for hours. For someone who has thick brows like mine, all you have to do is whip it out, comb those hairs in place and voila, you have brows that look soft, groomed and polished. On days I want more defined brows, I use a brow filler and follow-up with this for a more striking look.
