Pretty in pink Valentine’s Day look

Valentine’s Day conjures up thoughts of love and romance and we have all the tips and tricks you need to flaunt to a polished, soft and sexy look in this season of love. In fact, the look is wearable enough to carry off on any day of the week through the year. The key is to pair it with a glossy hairstyle that will inspire you to surround yourself with loving energy. Now back to our favorite Valentine’s Day look. I’ve used soft pink tones for this look with a hint of purple on the eyes to add a little glamour.

Step 1: Start by evening out your skin using a medium to high coverage foundation. You want your skin to look even toned but natural so apply only the amount you need to avoid caking your skin with too much product. Step 2: In case you need a little more coverage in the under-eye area, use a brightening concealer like the Maybelline New York Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer under the eyes.

Step 3: To set your foundation and concealer, use a light-weight mattifying powder like the Maybelline New York Fit Me Pressed Powder.

Step 4: Once the base makeup is done, focus on your eyes. Start by using a medium matte brown eye shadow to define the crease of your eyes. Then use a pinkish gold or soft gold eye shadow on the center of your lids to brighten your eyes a little. You can use a neutral palette like the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche La Palette Nude (Beige) to create this look.

Step 5: Line your upper lash line thickly with a black liner like the Maybelline The Colossal Liner. Wing the liner out slightly to emphasize the shape of your eyes.

Step 6: Next, use a purple eye liner like Maybelline Hyper Glossy Electrics Eyeliner (Shade Violet Volt) and line the upper lash line just along the black liner in the previous step. Don’t wing the purple liner out and make sure there are no gaps between the black liner and the purple liner.
