One of the hottest color combination to rule the party circuit
Rock the royal blue pink trend - 1
When it comes to color, jewel tones work beautifully with Indian complexions and look very festive as well. There is a wide variety of colors to pick from—from royal amethyst hues to deep rich emeralds—but the trendiest color this season is Blue! On a recent shopping trip, I spotted blue everything! Midnight blue sarees with fuchsia borders, lemon yellow anarkalis with contrasting blue velvet linings and even bridal wear sarees with gold embroided blue contrast borders.  I personally love the blue with pink trend, the inspiration for the tutorial below.
Most women shy away from colorful eye shadow but it’s very easy to pull off a jewel toned blue smokey eye. This tutorial will show you how to create the look and pair it with the right lip color and face makeup.
The eyes have an intense blue wash. To achieve that look, we will layer products. This will not only add more intensity to the color but will make it last longer tool.
Step 1: Start by applying a blue eye pencil all over the lids. Colorbar I-Glide pencil in Glowing Sapphire works best for this look.
Step 2 and 3: Use a smudging brush to soften the edges and blend. I prefer Colorbar Smokin' Eyes Smudger Brush.
Step 4: Apply some black eye shadow all over the lid. Make sure to not go beyond the crease. I used the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palettein black.

Step 5: Use a blending brush like the Colorbar Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush to soften the edges in the crease.
Step 6: Apply a small amount of blue eye shadow in the center of the lid and blend it all over the lid. Do not go above the crease. L'Oreal Paris Infallible Monos Eye Shadow in All Night Blue is perfect for this look. It has a jewel tone that complements the Indian complexion.
Step 7: Apply a blue pencil liner like Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Denim Blue along the lower lash liner and smoke it out with a smudging brush.
Step 8: Apply black kohl such as Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate along the waterline and finish off the look with mascara! I prefer Lakme Kohl because the formula is intense black and long wearing.  For a dramatic evening look, opt for Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Mascara.

Finishing touch: Add some highlighter to the brow bone to brighten up. I used the Lakme Absolute Sun-Kissed Matic Bronzer.

Pretty up your face .
Do your base makeup after finishing your eyes so that you can clean up makeup fallouts before you do up your face. Use a foundation that works best for your skin type and gives you the coverage you need. I have worn Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation. To make your foundation last, set it with a compact powder such as the Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder. This will also help control shine.
Pink shades go beautifully with blue. For the cheeks, I chose Maybelline Cheeky glow blush in Fresh Coral which is a beautiful matte finish coral pink. Since the eyes are quite strong here, I have skipped highlighter on the face.

Play up your lips .
If you are doing this look for daywear, try a soft pink nude like the Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Rosy Nude. For a festive evening out when you're dressed to the nines, wear something brighter like the new Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Plumper in Charming Pink. It contrasts beautifully with the lovely blue eyes. That is the shade I'm wearing here.
