Saachi Bhasin Tries Out Nykaa’s New Line Of Hair Oils: “My Girlfriends And I Are Honestly Obsessed”

I’ve been an avid customer of the brand’s hair care line. I have been using the apple cider vinegar and ginger range (that includes a shampoo, conditioner, and mask) for the longest time. I find that the products thoroughly cleanse all the dirt and impurities with just one wash. So, when I heard that they were launching a bunch of hair oils as an extension to the range I was excited to test them out and share my experience with you. The thing is, I have very fine hair and my scalp is oily. So, I usually shy away from oils in general, thinking it would only add to the problem. But the apple cider vinegar and ginger hair oil proved me wrong because it ended up suiting my hair and scalp brilliantly! It’s lightweight, zero added colour and they don’t feel heavy or greasy. Plus, they smell great. They have two other variants that I got to try as well. The onion and fenugreek bottle is great to promote hair growth, and if you suffer from hair fall I recommend you go for the amla and curry leaves oil.

My girlfriends and I are honestly obsessed. I invited them over last week, lit some candles, put on some music and we enjoyed using the oils together—which quite honestly turned into a luxurious spa-like experience. Also, the oils are 100 percent natural (which I love). I like how the packaging and colours on the bottle stay true to the ingredients. I found the bottle very convenient to use compared to other oils in the market. The nozzles are smartly designed because they give me control over how much I want to use, therefore zero mess. There's a lot of research that has gone into creating these oils because they cater specifically to Indian hair concerns. I love how there’s one for everyone!

Intrigued? Here’s more on the range:

Apple cider vinegar and ginger

If you have dandruff, try the apple cider vinegar and ginger oil. Known as a natural remedy for itchy scalp, the apple cider vinegar in the formula tackles dandruff and removes sweat, dirt, and product build-up from the scalp. Enriched with vitamins and minerals, the ginger in the product acts as a natural pH balancer and protects your natural oils to help maintain a healthy, high functioning scalp.

Onion and fenugreek

This onion and fenugreek oil is recommended for those looking to promote hair growth. Onion is known to promote collagen, keratin production and improves blood circulation in the scalp. Fenugreek on the other hand is rich in protein and vitamin B3 that deeply hydrate and strengthen your hair follicles. With the help of nicotinic acid, this oil also combats dandruff, hair thinning, and baldness.

Amla and curry leaves

The amla and curry leaves variant helps fight hair fall. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and iron, the amla promises to boost blood circulation across the scalp to feed oxygen and nutrition to your hair follicles. It also contains essential fatty acids that help reduce hair breakage. The curry leaf extracts help to strengthen your roots, regenerate dormant follicles and regrow new hair. The oil is also powered with strong antifungal and antiviral properties to fight infections.
