I don’t know about you, but I love it when a new product drops. Whenever Nykaa launches a new product, it’s time for me to put my critic hat on and unbiasedly review that product on the market. The feeling you get when you unbox the clear film, inhale the aroma of a freshly packaged product, and twist the caps to squirt out a little product for the first time. Well, I know, it’s not just me who loves indulging in retail therapy, and when it’s a new brand, the joy is doubled.
From dermatologist-approved brands that hail from the land of ultimate skincare – Korea to a homegrown, hydra-focused beauty brand, Nykaa’s new-launch list is endless. Now you may have heard of some of the popular brand launches – including but not limited to – the luxurious Inks by YSL or the Promend Oil by Nexxus, maybe even the vanity must-haves by Armani or the highly-coveted sunscreen among celebrities – Supergoop. But there have been a few underrated products that may have gone under the radar, unless you are a skin and makeup fiend like me, so without further ado, let’s get into it.
Live, Laugh, LovETC
We have all seen Miss Ma’am Jhanvi Kapoor dance her heart out wearing the new and moisturising formula from LOVETC. This brand is exclusively available on Nykaa and focuses on hydration and long-lasting wear more than anything else. When it comes to lips, they have every formulation you might need, from hydrating mattes to glossy glazes, from luxurious crèmes to lip treatment oils.
Their highly pigmented eye-kit consists of a moisturising kajal, retractable eyeliner, voluminous mascaras, and dynamic eyeshadow palettes. My favourite from the lot has to be their LOVETC Pout, Perfect, etc. High-Definition Matte Lipstick, it’s super creamy, glides easily, is fragrance-free, and the colour pay-off? Marvelous! For the eyes, the LOVETC Drama Queen palette and the LOVETC Curl, Conquer, etc. Hypercurl Volumising Mascara is a must-try. The eyeshadow is versatile and super pigmented, while the mascara is lightweight and high-volume.

Lately, my Instagram is being spammed with Aestura’s Barrier Repair Cream, and how the consistency and application feel is sublime. So, when I heard Aestura was launching on Nykaa, I had to get my hands on it. Their SPF range is super lightweight and inclusive to a lot of skin types. Their Calm Tone sunscreen is perfect for sensitive skin, while their Barrier Hydro Mineral Sunscreen is ideal for dry skin. But their best product has to be Aestura Atobarrier365 Cream, it’s super creamy yet lightweight, it’s ideal for every season, and creates the perfect base for makeup, it hydrates the epidermis and evens out the pores for a smooth, velvety skin. Even though I don’t have acne-prone skin, their Theracne365 Clear Deep Cleansing Foam is a great formulation to remove excess oil, sebum, and acne-causing bacteria.

Can’t Say No To Aveeno
Made with three forms of oats – oat flour, oat extract, and oat oil, Aveeno, as a brand, focuses on using environmentally conscious ingredients that are also great for the skin. Their skin, body, and baby care products are very moisturising, hydrating, and perfect for sensitive skin. Their Calm + Restore Oat Gel Face Moisturiser is super nourishing for normal to dry skin; it has a gentle texture and smells like a dream. Their baby products are even gentler and are free from drying alcohols, fragrances, and greasy ingredients.

How many times have you seen skinfluencers use a bio-collagen overnight sleeping mask that gets absorbed into the skin to offer a radiant glow in the morning? Well, if it’s not all over your feed, you are lucky, but not as lucky as I, as I got to try the Bio-Collegen Real Deep Mask and guess what? It’s already sold out on Nykaa! This viral mask is worth all the hype, my skin was super soft and velvety in the morning. Biodance doesn’t have a huge product inventory, but they are a lean and mean team where every product brings forth highly effective results in just one use.
