It’s a farcical comedy about a detective and a female police officer investigating a dreaded villain who enjoys cross-dressing! The year started off with a bang and Mr. Joe B. Carvalho, starring Arshad Warsi and Soha Ali Khan among others. In fact, the beautylicious Soha went the extra mile for this mad caper by learning martial arts. Even better, she followed in her mother, the gorgeous yesteryear dimpled sensation Sharmila Tagore’s footsteps in more ways than one. She donned a bikini for the role and did a cabaret as well. If you recall, Sharmila Tagore was the first Indian actress to don a two-piece swimsuit in An evening in Paris, besides grooving to a cabaret number four decades ago.
In fact, the film sees Soha as a multifaceted cop, equally adept in running down criminal as she is a cabaret dancer, an apsara, performing a Can Can dance and executing dare-devil stunts. However as looks go, Soha stuns us with her classic brown smokey eye make-up and her long, batty eye lashes. Luscious lashes can instantly add extra oomph to your eyes making your look very glamorous. Read on for an easy-to-follows tutorial on how you too can create dramatic lashes like Soha without breaking the bank.
Brown smokey eye make-up
Step 1: Start by applying a matte soft brown eye shadow all over your eyelids. I suggest using Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow (Shade Brazen). The bottom left shade is just perfect for entire lid application.
Step 2: Now apply the bottom right matte chocolate brown shade from the same palette in the outer corner of the eyes and crease, blending well. Highlight the brow bone and tear duct area with a top left champagne color eye shadow.
Step 3: Kohl is like a magic wand for me when it comes to its versatility. Personally I love Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate as it has a very smooth and blend-able texture. You may use this or L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique to line your upper lash line and smudge with a small brush or Q-tip. Apply kohl on the water line and smudge it lightly to soften the look.

Step 1: Thick, dreamily long eyelashes can instantly smart up your look to draw attention to your eyes. If you’re naturally blessed with gorgeous lashes you can get by with minimal makeup. However, worry not if yours aren’t eye catching enough. Nykaa to the rescue with several products! Apply it evenly on upper and lower lashes to create length and curling effect.
