Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, the lead pair in the soon-to-be released Dhoom 3 are already making waves for their unusual pairing and sizzling chemistry. In a teaser of Malang, the song that has the film industry abuzz because it cost Rs. 5 crore to shoot, the duo look stunning to say the least.
Aamir shows off perfect abs that belie his 48 years in an all-black avatar performing daring acrobatics with his onscreen lady love Katrina Kaif aka Aliya. Apparently 200 professional gymnasts were specially flown in from the US to participate in the song. While Aamir's daredevil bike stunts are impressive, Katrina's acrobatic skills and jaw-dropping looks have garnered their share of admirers. She is believed to have taken circus and paragliding training besides singing lessons, all this while following a strict diet and martial art regime. The result is a super fit, toned Katrina flaunting her body in bikinis and fitted gymnast outfits. Her make-up looks chic and glamorous without being loud. Her face is well contoured in most shots, proving once again that contouring and highlighting can showcase features perfectly.
Now you too can recreate Katrina's chic acrobatic diva look by following the express tutorial below:
Pretty up your face
Start with a clean moisturized face. Apply a heavy duty foundation to get a perfectly flawless face free of blemishes. Set with a compact or loose powder. Take your pick from Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation or Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation.
Highlight your eyes
Katrina's peepers are minimally made up. She has beautiful almond-shaped brown eyes that are attractive even when bare. Just highlight your eyes with eyeliner, mascara and white kohl to make them pop open.
Step 1: Apply concealer to hide dark circles or shadows. You could try Revlon Photoready Concealer, Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer or Colorbar Full Cover Concealer.
Step 2: Next apply a dab of white on the inner corner of the eyes to brighten them up and make and make them look wide awake. Take your pick from Deborah Kajal Pencil 117 White or Revlon Photoready Kajal Intense Eye liner + Brightener
Step 3: Now line your eyes with black eyeliner. For precision, I recommend using a felt tip liner. Line them according to your eye shape. If you have round eyes, flick upward and outward at the outer corners to create an almond-shape. Try using L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Instant Impact Felt, Bourjois Liner Feutre, Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen or Colorbar Ultimate Eye Liner.
Step 4: Apply white kohl on the lower waterline. Katrina is fond of showing off white kohl eyes. This makes eyes look wide awake, giving a fresh overall look. For those with bigger eyes, skip white kohl and apply black kohl below the waterline.
Step 5: Curl your lashes using an eyelash curler to make them look fuller and longer like Katrina's. Nykaa recommends Colorbar Showstopper Eyelash Curler, an easy-to-use curler that's gentle on the lashes.
Step 6: Follow up with loads of mascara to add the final oomph factor. Take your pick from Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara, Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara and Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Mascara.
Contour your cheeks
The Dhoom 3 posters reveal Katrina's highly contoured and bronzed look. It suits her acrobat character well. However, to make this a more wearable style, you may stick to a nice pink blush to give a natural flush of color to your cheeks. Check out NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Blush - Baby Doll or Max Factor Flawless Perfection Blush in Classic Pink .
Pretty pink lips
The first rushes show Katrina's lovely lips prettied up in mauve pink overlaid by a shiny gloss to create a luscious pout. Check out Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling followed by Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Glisten up Pink.
Tress talk, Katrina style
Since she plays an acrobat in the movie, her hair is tied up in a high ponytail that looks chic and elegant. In some pictures you also catch a glimpse of tousled ‘just got out of bed’ locks. Want to sport the messy hair look? Back tease strands when they’re dry and set them with hair spray. Try Toni&Guy Glamour: Moisturising Shine Spray.
