As a celebrity blogger Ankita Chaturvedi is constantly asked what’s in her go-to vanity kit. So when we suggested she do a post on what her favorite beauty essentials were she immediately said ‘Yes’! “Some of these are old favorites but there are a couple of new finds that I’m so excited about,” she said. Presenting Ankita’s ten skin and makeup vanity kit essentials.
1. Avene Thermal Spray Water
This face mist hydrates and freshens up my skin instantly. The small size fits in my bag and is great in the summers when you want something soothing and cooling especially when you’re out and about.
2. L'Oreal Paris UV Perfect Aqua Essence
This sunblock has a light, watery texture and doesn’t make my skin greasy or leave a white cast. Plus it suits all skin types.
3. Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact
My T-zone gets really oily in a few hours so a pressed powder is a must-have! I love this one from Lakme because of the silky texture and natural matte finish.
4. Lakme Absolute Sculpt Matte Lipstick in Pink Caress
This matte, yellow-based pink is my current favorite and totally brightens up my face! A bright pink is a summer must-have and I highly recommend this one!
5. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Berry Bomb
Lip Balm is an essential I simply can’t live without. I love lip balms that add a bit of tint and the Baby Lips Electro Pop range adds the perfect sheer pop of bright color. Berry Bomb is a purple pink that looks perfect over pink lipsticks.
6. H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment
To fix up any dry patches on the face, I keep a mini tube of moisturizer in my bag and this one from H2O+ is lightweight yet hydrating. The gel texture is perfect for the summer.
7. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer in Honey
Concealer can wear off after a few hours and this formula is great to brighten up tired eyes after a long day. The fluid texture blends well, brightens up the under eye and instantly refreshes my face.
8. Crabtree & Evelyn Himalayan Blue Hand Cream
I always carry a tube of hand cream to keep my hands soft and moisturized. The Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams are brilliant because they are non-greasy but sufficiently hydrating. The Himalayan Blue range has a refreshing scent that is great in the warmer months.
9. Marks & Spencer Rose Perfume Mini
I always carry a mini or sample sized perfume and the one in my bag currently is Marks & Spencer Rose perfume which is a true rose floral.
10. Kleenex Tissues
Last but not least, tissues are an absolute essential in every woman's handbag and I use them every few hours to blot my face to keep it fresh. These Kleenex ones are super soft and very absorbent!
