i started my retinol with this serum as it is marketed for beginners and its so gentle but effective. my acne has reduced a lot since i used this and i love the way my skin feels. one small thing that this serum has a bit of a liquid gel like texture so it pills a little if i put moisturizer on top of it so instead i use a very rich moisturizer under this serum and it works.
