I am actually shade Rattan but this one though lighter does the job too as it is my winter shade. I wanted a light coverage moisturising or satin finish foundation for the winter but this one is matte too. Matte is mentioned in the name itself. I was just swayed by the term Hydra in the name as well. I have oily skin and matte foundation doesn't really bother me... but the major drawback is that the formula moves!!! I have extremely oily skin and this foundation separates in the oily zone. For reference, i got Givenchy foundation sample card and side by side comparison was huge. This one feels powdery, drying and moves after a while. I think it will do well in summer.
It's neutral and though I am an NC 40 IN MAC, with slight yellow undertone, have realised that in my foundation, the neutral shade works better. This is long wearing & I wear it in delhi heat & humid weather with a weartome of 12+ hours with no feathering. It's moisturising yet doesn't leave you greasy. Easy to blend and doesn't need powder to set. It's so pigmented that I need only a quarter of a small pea size for my entire face (and that may be too much as it's absolutely full coverage). Use a small amount as you can build up. I have been using this foundation for 5 years now and haven't been able to use or like any other
If you are looking for a foundation that sits light on the face, this ones it. It doesn’t give much coverage but it’s comfortable and doesn’t seem cakey.
The best product which gives you coverage and protects your skin too.
It doesn't apply nicely. All high-end primers I've used underneath this foundation failed to make it sit on my skin. Looks cakey, not wearable with a brush. Only wedges make it blend. Gives flashback. No BLURRING effect. super problematic foundation. Never recommend.
Works same as Loreal matte foundation, wrapped within a 3.3k blue box! Keeps you matte for a few hours maybe, moderately transfer proof, the Shade selection is so limited, you end up picking a wrong shade for your skin tone. Cakes up if not moisturized prior to using it. Doesn't work with ANY primer, no matter how high end it is! Such a weird texture. Had high Hopes with it. Cakes up if used with a flat top brush. Works better with a disc sponge. I haven't seen any BLURRING effect so far. Sorry, Estee Lauder! Gives flashback. This was probably the last product I'd tried from EL repertoire. All their products have miserably failed for me. Long Live Christian Dior Face and Body foundation! Utterly disappointed!
