I’ve been using argan oil since one year now. Argan oil is an occlusive ingredient which means it’s not going to moisturise your skin or add any additional moisture but instead it’s going to trap the moisture onto your skin making sure your skin stays hydrated and soft throughout the day. So, the ideal way of applying a facial oil would be to first add a humectant based mist or serum or lotion, that is, one containing hyaluronic acid so that it draws water into your skin keeping your skin hydrated and then layer it with a facial oil to keep moisture from escaping. Putting a facial oil on your face can be intimidating and you might think it will clog your pores BUT argan oil has a comedogenic rating of ZERO which means there’s no way it is going to clog your pores and break you out. If you think argan oil is breaking your skin out, then you’re completely wrong! It just doesn’t have any comedogenic properties making it the best and safest non comedogenic facial oil! Rosehip oil although meant to treat acne might clog your pores and break you out as it has a comedogenic rating of 1 which is very low but it still CAN break you out. But argan oil won’t break you out. It is full of anti oxidants and vitamin E which will hydrate and soften your skin. I used to use the Nykaa argan oil earlier but this one is cheaper and BETTER in terms of quality. It has a nutty smell and a faint golden hue which ensures its purity.
