First of all, if you have hard water, DO NOT use a soap. Hard water reduces the soap's lather and effectoveness and leaves white soap curds or lime scales as residues which is harmful for your skin and hair. That being said, if you have soft water please give this shampoo bar a try. You need to use it for about 6 weeks. Soaps are extremely gentle for your hair but most likely your hair is in the habit of shampoo + conditioner routine. So you need to cleanse your hair's palate and that's why after about 4 weeks of washing your hair with soap you'll see the result. Soaps are also biodegradable and therefore the greener option. Soaps don't weigh your hair down. Soaps don't make your hair frizzy and prevent cowlicks. If your hair is oiled, wash twice. Choose soaps which have clean ingredients. Only use soaps which have certified ecologically sustainable Palm oil. Search in EWG's database when in doubt about an ingredient. Use soap from root to to tip. It's not shampoo, it won't damage your fragile hairtips. Take the bar, wet it, section your hair in 2 parts and rub it very very gently like you use a comb from top to bottom. Now massage your hair till you get a generous lather from scalp to tip. Finger comb your hair and detangle it while it has the soapy foam in it. Rinse with water for at least 2 mintues in shower or use at least 15 litres of water. If your hair is particularly oily, you may not get a good lather in the 1st wash. Don't worry about that. Just repeat the whole process again until you get a nice white lather. Pour 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (for oily to normal hair) or 1 teaspoon wine vinegar (for normal to dry hair) in 1 litre water. Slowly pour the water onto your hair and give your hair a good conditioning rinse. Leave it for 2 minutes. Wash off with plain water. Or you may want to leave it as it is. The vinegar makes your hair soft and shiny. (The smell won't linger.) Style your hair as usual. And that's how I do it at home and now I don't use shampoo and conditioner at all. Now about this soap... It's awesome for dry hair. It makes your hair soft and smooth. And no frizz. The fragrance might be a little pungent for some of you but I like it. It doesn't make your hair smelly at all so don't sweat the small stuff. Oily scalp people might want to avoid this shampoo bar though or reserve it for winter times. It's very moisturizing. Hope this review helps you guys.
I just cant tell, how happy I feel about my hair these days, only because of the juicy chemistry shampoo bar. I had a really thick, extremely dry and frizzy hair which was worsening day by day due to the reckless use of chemical shampoos.. My hair was choking with product build up and was having a really bad time. But once I started using the juicy chemistry shampoo bar, my hair all the way became lustrous, smooth, frizz free to some extent.. I can see the shine coming back to my hair.. for that matter, I swear by this brand and product and I have already recommended to my friends as well
Great product to remove grease on your scalp without over-drying. It's worth trying once because of it's overwhelming fragrance.
I have extremely dry and damaged hair and also suffering from hair fall. This product did not suit my hair type , rather made my hair even more dry and frizzy . One absolutely has to use a conditioner after using this bar .No decrease in hair fall as well.
