If the beauty gods gave you a raw deal in the eyelash department, here’s how you can get a full flutter using only the contents of your makeup kit - By Parizaad Khan Sethi

This one is for those of our sisters (or brothers) with follicular failure of the eye. That might seem like a deathly diagnosis, but here’s a really easy, quick-fix cure.

Sure, scanty lashes can be bulked out with everything from eyelash strips and clusters that have to be stuck on, or semi-permanent eyelash extensions that last a few weeks. If you’re doing any one of these, they’re all great methods, so please carry on. But this is meant for those who want an easy way out (that’s basically all of us #lazyandproud).

If you’re unwilling to take the falsie route, so far mascara has been our only salvation. We slick it on, pretend to be happy with the measly stray lashes God gave us, and call it a day. But what if you didn’t have to settle for lash mediocrity? Here’s a trick that could pump up your skinny lashes, with nothing more than the contents of your makeup kit.

You will need:
Black mascara
Loose or compact powder
A small eyeshadow brush, preferably one with shorter bristles
A disposable spoolie mascara wand
A lash comb
An eyelash curler (optional)

Step 1:
Curl your lashes using the eyelash curler. It doesn’t matter if your natural eyelashes graduated the class summa cum laude or are just about scraping by—everyone will benefit from using this tool. Sure, it looks like a torture device from Game of Thrones, but when you see the results, you’ll get over that soon enough. So, just curl your lashes.

Step 2:
Apply a coat of mascara to your lashes and wait for about 30 seconds for it to dry slightly. It needs to be slightly tacky for the next step, but not wet.

Step 3:
Take your eyeshadow brush, dip it in the loose powder or compact, and tap off the excess. Slowly and gently dust some powder over the lashes you’ve coated in mascara. To avoid getting powder in your eye, we used a brush with short, stubby bristles.

Step 4:
Dip your clean disposable mascara wand into your mascara tube, and apply a second coat of mascara over the powder. If clumps form, comb them out using the lash comb, before the mascara dries.
Boom! Your lashes are suddenly next level thicker.
