No balm or serum can magically help you to lighten dark lips. You have to make a series of changes in your lifestyle.First and foremost you have to quit smoking. Also keep yourself hydrated by drinking loads of water.Scrub your lips two times a week using a mixture of coconut oil and sugar or you can also use a mixture of honey, sugar and few drops of lemon juice. Dont be harsh on your lips, do the scrubbing gently.Also every night before going to bed lightly use your toothbrush to exfoliate your lips off the dead skin.Always keep your lips moisturised. You can use a tinted lip balm or a non-tinted one according to your preference but make sure it has spf in it. Or if your problem still continues or you want it to heal quickly, do pay a visit to your dermatologist. He/she will guide you through this.I hope this helps.
