Keeping oil overnight depends person to person . Some people don't catch cold if they oil is over night and some do.But it's better to keep the oil over night and sleep, because oil makes the hair sticky and in this manner dust are attracted to them.while sleeping sometimes we don't realise that the bedsheet is a bit dirty or the pillow which can lead to dandruff and in this manner it can lead to hair fall.The best time is to apply oil before hair wash. Like at least 1hour prior massage the oil nicely and let it stay for 15 to 30 minutes
