I think you should avoid it, as the skin is usually a bit sensitive  during pregnancy and the hair color might give you reaction. You can try some natural hair color options like henna , coffee, or even chamomile tea. And still if you feel like coloring your hair , then wait until you reach the 2nd trimester and use ammonia free colors which are safe. Also, do a patch test as hormonal changes might give you reactions.

So far, not much is known about the safety of hair dyes during pregnancy. While the chances of chemicals getting absorbed via the scalp during coloring are minimal, it’s best not to take the chance and leave off coloring until the baby is born and you have stopped breast feeding.
