While selecting a hair color for hair, I would suggest you to first knowing your hair type, hair color, skin tone because that plays a big role. 

Color for hair can be done in a few different ways which are as follows:


	Highlights - if you have small to medium hair then highlights will suit you more as it gives an illusion of fuller hair
	Balayage-  if you have long hair opt for balayage as it gives an illusion of more long streaky hair
	Ombre- if you like more outburst of color opt for ombre as it will have color starting from mid hair length till the end.
	Global: this has a flush of color all over your hair so it depends from person to person. Also, it depends on the choice of doing bleach, as hair colors like blonde require bleach to show up.
	Color selection  -If you have fair to medium skin tone you can opt for lighter hair color example: Blonde, Honey, Auburn, Red. And if you have medium to the dark skin tone you can go for Honey Brown, Chocolate, Burnt Red, Dark Auburn.

If you’re doing highlights, stand in front of the mirror and look into your eyes to figure out the color that’s reflected back. While eyes alone can guide your streaks, your skin color should always dictate your overall color. In my experience, darker haired women should go with chocolate or espresso tints. For medium wheatish and yellow skin tones, ash brown, golden brown, chestnut and mahogany look good.
