Hey,What are botox and fillers and how do botox or fillers work? Botox is made of purified bacteria that freezes muscles. People prefer getting botox or fillers compared to face lifts to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Fillers, on the other hand, help you make your face look fuller, especially the area that looks a little thin due to ageing. For example: the lips, cheeks, and around the mouth. Let&rsquo;s talk about the differences between botox and fillers.Botox: Botox is nothing but the purified form of botulinum toxin that is made of good bacteria and it&rsquo;s been used for decades. Botox works by blocking nerve signals in the muscle it's injected in. Once affected, these muscles are paralyzed or frozen temporarily. Botox only works on wrinkles or expression lines caused by muscle movement.Fillers: Fillers or Dermal Fillers can be made with various substances such as calcium hydroxylapatite, hyaluronic acid, polyalkylimide, polylactic acid, polymethyl- methacrylate microspheres, etc. Fillers also called soft tissue fillers are injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness.Fillers might last as long as 6 months, while some can last up to 2 years if taken care of properly. Botox is made from toxin called chlostridium botulinum which when injected into overactive muscle cause muscle relaxation which in turn reducers dynamic  facial wrinkles which are mostly around our  eyes,frown lines between eyebrows and on forehead  .Apart from cosmetic treatment also used for other issues like hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating),  muscle spasms etc.The effect of Botox is temporary which may last for 2-3 months .It  takes 3-days to week for result to be visible after injection.Fillers:In the market there are several type of fillers made from different substance but the mos common and safest one to use is hyaluronic based dermal fillers.Hyaluronic acid is naturally a part of our skin so chances of foreign body reaction are very low as compared to other fillers.But the results will last only few months or upto year depending on what type of HA filler used .As even HA fillers are huge and can't be covered here .since they work by drawing water into the area they are used for fill  lost facial volume especially very common tear trough under eyesand plump up lips or cheeks . I personally had it and it  was a game changer for my dark circles ,reduced them a lot .Note:if you are planning on one ,make sure to have them from experienced plastic surgeon or dermatolgist.I m not sure abt botox but filler are generally very expensive but getting from cheap aesthetician can cause  grave side effects which can't be undone .

Hi ,There is a difference between botox and fillers! Depending on your body area and concerns, these treatments are used very differently. Botox is used for correcting fine lines, frown lines, crow&rsquo;s feet or the expression lines. This shows that botox is mostly used for lifting and correcting wrinkled skin. Fillers, on the other hand, also look after the wrinkles but are used for plumping up the lips, to make cheeks appear fuller or even the jaw. There are a variety of different types of fillers that show the best results and retain it for a different duration of time. Eg. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a kind of a filler in a form of gel solution which lasts up to 18 months with fillers with hyaluronic acid last between 6 to 12 months.At the same time, both botox and fillers are inserted into the skin by injecting them into the skin. Fillers add volume to the area it is injected in and botox corrects the wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscle tension under the skin. Both botox and fillers have side effects, if not done properly. In the case of botox, the side effects sometimes are rare depending from person to person.
