Foundations have a tendency to turn grey if the shade applied is lighter from your own skin. At times they may even react with the natural skin oil and turn grey and guve an ashy look.hence skin orep is important. Something that would create a barrier between skin and makeup. Like the smashbox phiyo finish foundation. I would suggest you to opt for the right foundation shade by testing it out on your jawline . At times if the skin is not color corrected properly foundation maay turn grey in some areas.

It&rsquo;s because some foundation oxidise but how long it takes to oxidise differs from one brand to other .

Applying a good primer, concealer and makeup setting spray may stop your foundation to oxidise upto a certain extend

Wrong foundation.

Some foundations tend to oxidise on the skin. Prep your skin with right products. Drink plenty of water,keep the skin hydrated. Use right foundation. Apply skin corrector before applying foundation on the dark areas.
