It has low concentration of retinol which is great for beginners! I started using it once every 2 days for 3 weeks and then started using it every day. I use it an hour before sleeping and it has helped improve skin texture along with evening out my complexion a little. I also have been using the acne squad 2% salicylic acid serum in the am, so the results are a combination of both. However, don't use the salicylic acid serum and retinol at the same time. Use the serum in the morning and this at night.
