Popular Hindi soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (earlier titled Tera Mera Rishta Purana) has a unique story line that’s increasingly relevant. Based on custody issues of a divorced couple, the story revolves around a kind, adorable South Indian girl Ishita Iyer who can’t have children and a hot-tempered, irresponsible Punjabi lad Raman Bhalla who get married for the sake of his daughter, Ruhi’s custody. We love Ishita’s (played by beautiful Divyanka Tripathy traditional, cute look with minimal make-up, cute bindi and jhumki earrings paired with salwar-suits or sarees. Her pretty doe-shaped eyes are lined perfectly with black liner. Also, she loves the color pink! Almost always her lips are dressed in a lovely shade of pink, perfect for summer. Read on to master Ishita’s fresh, pink, summery look.
Fresh faced peachy cheeks
Divyanka is blessed with clear smooth skin so her makeup looks more natural and luminous on screen. If you too have an even tone skin, use a light base like Ponds White Beauty Blemish Balm Fairness Cream to get an even finish. However, if your skin is uneven or pigmented, you may want to use a good coverage foundation like the L'Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder. Blend well for an even base. If required use a concealer like the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer to cover blemishes and dark circles. Set everything with Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact. Finally, add a flush of peachy pink color on your cheeks with Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Peachy Sweetie.
Champagne brown eye make-up
Ishita’s everyday look is quite simple yet defined. It gives her eyes a crisp, clean traditional look. Nothing too over the top for her! This kind of eye makeup is versatile and gives you an instant wide awake look. A defined lash line and voluminous mascara makes all the difference. Dab a champagne eye-shadow like Lakme Absolute Color Illusion Pearl Eye Shadow in Peach Pearl all over lids. Define the crease with a dark brown shadow like Max Factor Earth Spirits Eye Shadow to add depth and definition. Using a felt-tip black liner line the upper lash line with a perfect arch and clean edges. My current favorite felt-tip line is Maybelline The Colossal Liner- Black. Apply Lakme Eyeconic Kajal – Black very lightly on the water line to define the edges. Finish with voluminous mascara like the L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara to give a falsies feel to your lashes.
The power of pink lips
Ishita loves wearing matte pink. It gives her very natural yet fresh look. The closest dupe I found was from Maybelline Superstay 14hr Lipstick- Eternal Rose. It’s a lovely pink that’s neither too dull nor too bright. It adds a fresh pink tint with a matte finish.
Finish off the look with a traditional round bindi and jhumkis. You may even sport this look sans the bindi and earrings as an everyday office look. Try the look and send us some photos!
